I have spent many happy years working with different types of horses in various parts of the world. Through working with polo ponies during the 1980's I discovered my ability for healing, although I did not fully realise then what was happening. It just felt right to sit with an injured pony with my hands on the injury. I wrote in a diary at the time about the strange sensation coming through my hands when I did this. It was a Mexican co-worker when I was working in America who told me I was a 'whisperer'. I thought he was nuts! I'd never heard that expression before, so I thought no more about it and just continued in my own way.

When I was 40 I gave up working with horses due to a bad back, and focussed on my painting. During this time of transition I had some strange experiences which drew me to the world of spiritual healing and crystals in particular. Through painting I also began to study the effects of colour.

I have found over the years that there are many ways of giving healing - laughter being one of the strongest for people! But recently I have been encouraged to make these horse tassels. Horses give so much and teach so many lessons. To link into their energy through the tail hair makes a very special talisman. The gemstones and coloured threads are included to enhance this link. These tassels are a wonderful gift for yourself or a friend. It is also a great momento to have of a favourite horse or pony if you are fortunate enough to own one.
